Erste Leasing Cégcsoport [Erste Leasing Group] started operation in 1998 as an affiliate of Erste Bank Hungary. On the back of the merger of Erste Bank and Postabank, the subsidiaries of both banks also were integrated in 2004, thus the business track record and experience of Postabank Leasing—former market leader in vehicle financing—were also incorporated in Erste Leasing Cégcsoport to make it an unavoidable presence in the Hungarian market. The ownership structure of the company has been unchanged since it was established: Erste Bank has been providing 100 per cent of the company’s strong capital base. The company has been offering retail and corporate customers a wide range of leasing products for more than 10 years. Its main objective in business activity is to meet individual demands as extensively as possible by offering tailored leasing and loan designs as well as complementary products.
Finance agreements for passenger cars and small commercial vehicles represent the largest weight in its asset portfolio. The company has been market leader in motorcycle finance almost since the beginning, holding a steady market share around 50 per cent since 2000, an outstanding achievement.
The customer scope of the company now exceeds 110,000 customers which are serviced by a professional staff with extensive business experience. Owing to the cooperation with vehicle dealer partners and an extensive network of sales offices, our services are now available across the entire country.

Erste Leasing Cégcsoport is committed to ensure that the joy of driving be coupled with safety on the roads of Hungary. In order to promote accident-free motoring, the company established Erste Leasing Motoros Akadémia [Erste Leasing Academy of Motorcycling] and was the first in the country in 2007 to offer free admittance to this special training where driving skills are honed to customers that established motorcycle finance contracts. Thousands of bikers attend the academy’s professional and practical supplementary courses each year, which the company expects to be transmitted into a considerable improvement in road attitude even in the short term.
As a market leader in motorcycle finance, the company considers it a mission to build as many bridges between bikers and car drivers as possible. One of the pillars of this bridge is represented by four powerful motorcycles equipped with life support equipment the company has donated to Országos Mentőszolgálat [Hungarian National Ambulance and Emergency Service; OMSZ], allowing OMSZ to provide assistance with seven ambulance motorcycles now. Experience indicates that car drivers are saved in 90 per cent of the cases when ambulance motorcycles are deployed, hence those ambulance bikes are a true symbol of our mission.
Having been a sponsor for many years now, the annual Nemzetközi Harley-Davidson Fesztivál [International Harley-Davidson Festival] is always a prestigious event for Erste Leasing.

Erste Leasing refused to turn its back on customers even in the harsh environment of the economic crisis. Customers facing financial distress have been and will be provided with continuous support by the company via tailored product designs that serve to maintain a fair partnership in addition to tackling customer problems more effectively. The company offers multiple designs to ease payment difficulties, including extension of maturity by restructuring the duration of the leasing contract, consolidation of accrued debts, and currency conversion, but settling the difference between FX rates upon maturity in the case of FX contracts established for fixed monthly leasing fees could also be a solution. As a result of its banking background, the company supplements its own services with financial products, thus being able to provide a solution for nearly all finance demands. Also, discount account packages and banking products—such as account management, investment and current accounts, employee account packages, etc.—are available to commercial partners.
